What is a LinoCut?

This printing method is a variation of woodcut, but it uses softer materials such as linoleum or softcut blocks. The artist carves the design into the surface of the block, forming a raised texture. Then ink is rolled onto the block, and the ink is transferred to paper, leaving only the raised, uncarved areas printed. Each print is individually signed, dated, and numbered by the artist.
